Screencaps on a Sunny Sunday Morning

It’s a bright Sunday morning, and Italian sports reporter Giusy Meloni is on the scene. She might not be in the U.S. for the World Cup, but she’s still covering events that matter.

Honestly, I’ve mentioned this before, but I really don’t enjoy watching soccer’s gameplay. The World Cup? Not my thing. And I won’t pretend otherwise, just for the sake of it.

However, the drama off the pitch—scandals, viral fan moments, and the impressive talent around soccer—now that’s intriguing. It’s true entertainment, and there are some real gems there.

Meanwhile, with no matches happening in Italy and no calls coming in like colleague Eleonara Incardona’s for the World Cup coverage, Giusy has taken it upon herself to dive into holiday coverage.

This situation reminds me of Joe trying to schedule a TV interview from a lakeside hotel last spring. It seems like a missed call she could really use right now. It’s a bit of an uphill battle, but honestly, Giusy appears more focused on practical matters. Perhaps her vacation in a bikini takes precedence over the World Cup.

Knicks Break 53-Year Championship Drought

Over in the NBA, the New York Knicks secured their championship, marking the end of a 53-year wait. They snagged a 94-90 victory this past Saturday in San Antonio.

As a true Knicks fan, it feels surreal, especially with Timothée Chalamet making a visit to witness the win—seeing Jalen Brunson put up 45 points was quite a spectacle.

Interestingly, Taylor Swift wasn’t in sight with her usual merch. Though, the Spurs, seemingly able to take the lead, didn’t let that overshadow the Knicks’ victory. The Knicks have proven they are a team to reckon with.

Amidst the celebrations in the locker room, Timothée might be getting the ring he deserves after all.

Montana Meat Updates

– Tim from Montana sends a note:

“Hey Sean! June is shaping up nicely here in Montana. The weather’s been cool and humid, but we’re holding out for some warmer days. I’ve had my fair share of great meals, including smoked pork loin and even marinated tri-tip—which, well, let’s just say, was a bit too tough for even my dog to handle!”

Oh, and Tim added a birthday card… with some barbecue recommendations and heavenly combos of flavors like asparagus and pineapple.

More Meat from Montana!

Tim shared more of his culinary adventures recently—rib steak, Tim Bone, and bunch of hog ribs for a special occasion. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?

Hog Ribs Galore!

These images speak for themselves—Montana survival food was certainly a highlight!

Springtime in Montana

Tim’s picturesque shots near Glacier National Park serve as a reminder of the beauty of spring in Montana. He wishes everyone a wonderful June and hopes to keep the grilling spirit alive.

Backyard Garden Update

– Jim T. from San Diego writes:

“Gardening here is unique—lots of sunshine, little rain, and frosts are rare, allowing for year-round planting. When we moved in 17 years ago, it was just dirt. We’ve made progress with a garden, and I even hosted my son’s graduation party in our backyard!”

We might not be done yet, but there’s been some solid advancement.

It’s similar to my own backyard situation—grass issues, lack of rain, and attempts to transfer Bermuda grass. Progress is slow, but it’s happening.

Wrapping Up

Well, that’s a wrap for this Sunday. There’s a college baseball game on the agenda, and I hope it’s sunny in your area. If you’re grilling up anything good, don’t hesitate to share! I’m always excited to see what folks are cooking.
