State College Spikes Troll Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker To Perfection Over Her ‘Elgses’ Spelling Flub

LMAO … it’s going down in the Keystone State.

There are plenty of parties still going on throughout Pennsylvania in celebration of the Philadelphia Eagles‘ championship win in Super Bowl LIX. And there’s about to be another one courtesy of a college summer league baseball team, and you can thank the Philly mayor’s terrible flub when she tried to spell “E-A-G-L-E-S.” (RELATED: Texas Tech Fan Lands Absolutely Unbelievable 94-Foot Putt, Ratchets Up Magic By Celebrating With Patrick Mahomes)

Let’s take a dive into the MLB Draft League where we have the State College Spikes. The team recently announced that for an Aug. 23 game, they will be re-branding in honor of “Elgses Night,” and you guessed it, they’ll be calling themselves the “Elgses.” And to make it even better, they’ll be sporting Kelly Green uniforms, just like the Eagles do when they’re in full swag mode.

If you’re not familiar with the story, the “Elgses” rebrand is a reference to Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker attempting to do the “E-A-G-L-E-S” chant, ultimately misspelling it in a complete disaster.

The scene went down prior to Super Bowl LIX.

I’m gonna have to send one of my Central Pennsylvania people to the game to get me some ‘Elgses” merchandise, that Kelly Green pops with the Spikes’ current logo — I can dig it.
