Stefon Diggs Addresses Viral Video at Patriots Mini-Camp

Recently, Stefon Diggs, a wide receiver for the New England Patriots, has found himself in the spotlight due to a viral video. In it, he appears to be on a yacht, giving what looks like a bag of pink crystals to some women. This has sparked curiosity and, perhaps, some concern among fans and media alike.

When a reporter brought up the video during a Patriots’ mandatory mini-camp, Diggs opted to keep his personal life private. “I want to be as openly as possible with you, but I have to not talk to people I personally don’t know about my personal life,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of maintaining boundaries. He did mention his discussions with head coach Mike Vrabel, who expressed hopes that players are making sound decisions off the field.

Diggs acknowledged that the matter was discussed internally within the team. “I also had a conversation with the people in the building. So everything else is everything else. The details are all inside,” he explained, hinting that there might be more to the story than what the public knows.

Interestingly, he shed some light on what was in that bag from the video but reiterated the internal nature of the conversation. “Obviously, it’s a conversation going on inside,” he remarked, adding that with a decade in the league, he’s experienced in navigating tricky questions.

As for whether he was aware he was being recorded, that remains unclear. What is certain, however, is that Diggs is focusing on his football career. He recently trained with his new teammates, admitting that participating in offseason workouts is unusual for many in New England. Having suffered an ACL injury during the previous season, he seems determined to be fully cleared as he gears up for the upcoming games.

Though Diggs expressed optimism about his recovery, stating he feels “smashed”—in a good way—in preparation for the regular season, there’s still the matter of how the team will perform. When asked about the potential opening game against the Las Vegas Raiders, he was noncommittal, saying, “We see how it goes.”

Vrabel seems to be satisfied with Diggs’ commitment to his rehab and overall engagement as he acclimates to his new role. “He’s trying to figure out where everything is, what his role is,” Vrabel noted, making it clear that the team values Diggs’ energy and effort, particularly in specific drills.

Diggs has a track record of impressive performance, having secured over 1,000 receiving yards for multiple seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and the Buffalo Bills. Last season with the Houston Texans, however, he faced challenges, finishing with 496 yards in eight games.
