Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr used both inflammatory and positive language to mock Donald Trump following the Republican's election victory.
Mr. Carr had been an ardent supporter of Kamala Harris leading up to the presidential election, and after the results came in, he was asked by reporters for his thoughts on the Republican's landslide victory.
“I believe in democracy. I think the American people called out Trump and voted for him. I want him to do well over the next four years. I want our country to do well. ”
Anthony Slater, the sports reporter who posted Kerr's remarks. remarksnoted that following the 2020 election results, Coach's tone became sarcastic as he began exaggerating President Trump's position.
“We're lucky that there was no voter fraud this time. It's unfortunate that last time illegal immigrants breached the border, raped and murdered people, and then voted six times,” Carr said.
The coach also claimed that Trump only believes there was fraud because he lost the last election, saying, “Thankfully everything was clean this time.”
“It's amazing that all the elections were really valid except for the one four years ago,” Kerr added, then quipped, pointing to the “glitter” in his eyes.
But Kerr has since switched from dramatic to positive statements, saying he believes in democracy and “the will of the people.”
The 59-year-old vowed to support the country and the government. “We only want what's best for us,” he said.
“Between wars overseas and the global economy, it has changed everything in terms of what it means for our people and our daily lives.I am well aware that I live in a bubble. And I'm one of the luckiest humans on the planet.'' So I want what's best for us. I hope Trump can make that happen. ”
“Let's make America great again and beat the Celtics.”
In the video posted on ×Kerr was asked if he spoke to his team to reset their minds following the election results.
The coach's response was actually hilarious.

Kerr and superstar guard Stephen Curry have publicly supported Harris since at least the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In July, Curry claimed Harris was “ready to put her energy into” the presidential race.
Curry pushed a lot of the same message that the Harris campaign itself did: positive energy and good vibes.
“For her, in this moment, knowing what's going to happen, knowing how divided our country is right now, is just full of positive energy and optimism,” Curry said while in Paris.
At the same time, both Carr and Curry remained consistently positive, even when their politics were clearly at odds with the news cycle.
Both coaches and players expressed concern about the assassination attempt on President Trump in July and said they hoped for the best outcome for the United States.
