A notorious figure known as the Portland Pisher is seemingly expanding his territory.
For nearly a year, this enigmatic man has been leaving a milk carton and jugs of urine in a recycling bin in a neighborhood of one of Oregon’s largest cities.
He typically dons a hood and appears in the evening, reminiscent of a surreal version of Santa Claus.
Now, there’s speculation that this individual may be growing bolder in his actions.
Trish Bellingham, who lives in nearby Beaverton, shared that she was working from home last Friday. She recounted to a local station how she rushed outside when she noticed something unusual in her recycling can.
“I lifted the lid and found two bottles of urine,” she said.
Knowing the Pisher’s infamy, Bellingham promptly contacted the media for assistance, though perhaps that response was a bit melodramatic.
There’s some ambiguity around whether this new suspect is the original Pisher or just a copycat. Bellingham mentioned seeing a white car, contradicting older footage that appeared to show a darker vehicle.
Despite the discrepancies, she suspected it was the same individual.
“It seems like a very confused, very sick individual coming into the neighborhood,” she remarked.
The Pisher’s antics date back at least to September of last year. Alex Vandain, another resident of Northeast Portland, had opened his recycling bin to discover several six-gallon bottles filled with urine.
As the incidents continued, Vandain felt compelled to monitor his curb with security cameras in hopes of catching the culprit.
He recorded footage of a hooded figure late at night appearing to dispose of a bottle of urine from what looked like a BMW.
Eventually, Vandain decided to cease using his recycling bin, but the elusive suspect merely relocated to another neighbor’s bin.
Vandain and others have reached out to the local police about the ongoing situation. For now, the saga of the Portland Pisher continues unabated.
