Strange person with a microphone continues to deface Polish consulate in NYC, according to police.

Authorities report that a man, dressed in camouflage and shouting into a microphone through a portable PA system, has vandalized the Polish consulate in Manhattan multiple times.

According to the police, the individual first tagged the historic De Lamar House, where the consulate is situated, around 7 PM on Wednesday.

During this initial act, the vandal spray-painted the word “terror” in black on a sign that honors a Polish woman and then fled the scene, as captured in various photos taken afterward.

In a surprising turn, the culprit returned in the early hours of Friday and targeted the consulate again.

Images shared on X depict the aftermath of this incident; for instance, the door of the consulate and a bronze statue of Jan Karski, a renowned Polish hero and World War II veteran, were defaced with red spray paint.

Additional damage extended to shields and signs that commemorate Polish heroes and historical sites, as shown in the photographs.

By Sunday morning, remnants of the red spray paint were still apparent on the building’s facade.

On his second trip to the consulate, the vandal was reported to be holding a portable PA system and hurling insults into the speaker.

A photo released by the NYPD displays the suspect wearing a green balaclava, a black jacket, and red gloves.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
