The Supreme Court on Monday rejected reality TV star Josh Duggar’s appeal of his child pornography conviction.
In a list of orders on Monday, the court announced the rejection of Duggar’s appeal of his conviction. The former reality TV star had sought to overturn the 12-year prison sentence he was given in December 2021. He is expected to remain in prison until 2032.
Federal Jury in Arkansas Duggar, 36, found guilty Dugger was arrested in 2021 on charges related to the receipt and possession of child pornography and sentenced to 151 months in prison in May 2022. Dugger was subsequently transferred from Washington County Jail in his hometown of Arkansas to Seagoville FCI in Texas.
Federal authorities investigated Dugger after Little Rock police detectives discovered child sexual abuse material being shared from a computer linked to him. Investigators said images depicting the sexual abuse of children, including young children, were downloaded onto a computer at a car dealership owned by Dugger in 2019.

Dugger’s lawyers argued that statements he made to investigators during the search of the dealership should not have been allowed at trial because he did not have an attorney present.

Last year, his sentence 2 month extension It is scheduled to end in October 2032. At the time, he was found to be in possession of a smuggled mobile phone and was placed in solitary confinement.

Allegations against Duggar date back to 2006, when a family friend told authorities he had sexually abused four of his sisters, but the statute of limitations expired and the investigation was closed.
