Tesla owners are disguising the car as another vehicle that may be an attempt to avoid vandalism related to outspoken founder Elon Musk.
Images posted on Reddit The Tesla Cybertock is shown with the Toyota stenciled throughout the tailgate and the Tesla Model S, and the Tesla model with a series of Mazda logos on the rear end.
Other examples include the Tesla Model 3 vehicle with a Honda badge, and another Model 3 with four Audi rings in the boot.
Reddit users hypothesized that owners could distance themselves from Elon Musk following their close ties with far-right political groups and their role in the Trump administration in government efficiency.
“I'm afraid someone will be destroyed,” said one Reddit user.
“Imagine being so embarrassed to drive a Tesla. Do we have to do a rebrand?” another said.
Assuming that the vehicle owner is “embarrassing” to link to the brand, others say, “In London, I saw at least two Teslas with badges removed, so the kids and owners just wanted it. I don't know if it's not. It puts random bricks thrown at the car in danger.”
Tesla has been the target of graffiti this year after a gesture by Elon Musk, which was interpreted by some as a Nazi salute.
European protesters protest against mask's political stance, projecting the image of Adolf Hitler on Tesla's Berlin factory, while overseas owners returned to their cars to find slogans and logo spray painted on the car. Ta.
But Tesla owners have been changing badges on their cars for years, perhaps as some form of joke to other drivers.
Tesla Vandalism's latest batch follows a long-term incident involving a Tesla vehicle locked by other drivers.
Many of the perpetrators were arrested by cameras by Tesla's “sentry” security system.
