Texas Man with 29 Criminal Charges Taken into Custody for Alleged Fentanyl Trafficking

Felon Arrested in Lake Worth for Suspected Fentanyl

Police in Lake Worth, Texas, apprehended a felon with an extensive criminal record during a traffic stop concerning possible fentanyl.

The Lake Worth Police Department announced on Friday that their Special Operations Unit stopped a vehicle near Boat Club Road on Thursday.

Upon contacting the driver, identified as 37-year-old Travoni Stubblefield, a K-9 indicated the presence of drugs.

Officers discovered and seized about 73 grams of suspected methamphetamine and around 30 grams of suspected fentanyl concealed under the vehicle’s hood. Stubblefield was arrested and faces charges for Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, with both substances falling under Penalty Group 1.

Law enforcement emphasized the dangers of fentanyl, noting that as little as 2 milligrams can result in a fatal overdose. They stated, “This operation alone could save thousands of lives.”

The department shared photos of the confiscated drugs and the suspect.

Authorities later outlined Stubblefield’s long criminal history. “He has a total of 37 pages of records, including 29 previous arrests, 16 of which involve drugs. All cases are filed in Tarrant County. His convictions consist of drug distribution and evading arrest,” the post explained.

“This arrest, along with others, highlights our ongoing commitment to combatting drug traffickers who endanger our communities. Those involved in illegal activities will face consequences,” the statement added.

Earlier in October, the police noted that they had conducted several enforcement operations over the summer.

During one such operation, officers arrested 31-year-old Erica Buehrle, who had 343 grams of methamphetamine and other controlled substances in her possession.

In a follow-up investigation, an additional 316 grams of meth and 40 grams of fentanyl were seized in the city. Buehrle was charged accordingly and later released from jail on a $26,500 bond.

An ad from September’s “Make America Fentanyl Free” campaign mentioned President Donald Trump’s efforts to “save American lives,” according to reports.

Trump’s administration has targeted foreign drug cartels responsible for distributing dangerous substances in the U.S. Upon taking office, he signed an executive order recognizing a national emergency at the southern border, addressing the fentanyl crisis that has devastated numerous families.

The statement included the assertion that “America’s sovereignty is under attack,” noting the issues posed by cartels and the influx of illegal drugs.

In October, Texas Governor Greg Abbott participated in awareness events about fentanyl addiction, which is recognized as Fentanyl Addiction Awareness Month in the state.
