Apple’s Latest Launch May Impact Your Wallet

Apple has just rolled out a lineup of new products that is likely to leave quite an impression—both technologically and financially.

Recently, the tech giant introduced five new devices, including the much-awaited iPhone Duo. Customers can now begin pre-ordering the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 12, along with the innovative Duo.

This launch symbolizes a significant shift for the company, as new CEO John Ternus steps into his role, succeeding Tim Cook.

And, wow, the prices on some of these items are pretty jaw-dropping. It’s a little bit of a shock to the system, really.

Let’s start with the eye-catching, newly designed flip-style phone.

iPhone Duo

It’s quite tough to find a direct comparison for the iPhone Duo within Apple’s offerings, as it’s essentially a groundbreaking addition. The entry-level model of this foldable phone is priced at $1,999—surprisingly, that’s a bit lower than what analysts had predicted.

This base model packs 256 gigabytes of storage and is touted as the slimmest iPhone ever produced.

Then, for those looking for more storage—well, you might want to sit down—the higher-end version starts at an astounding $3,199.

But before you can get your hands on this so-called “breakthrough” device, note that pre-orders won’t start until October 16, with availability kicking off on October 23, according to the company.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max

As for deals on the standard iPhone model? Good luck with that. Apple has decided against releasing one this year, focusing instead on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

The new 18 Pro is coming in at a staggering $1,199, while the Pro Max bumps that up to $1,299. Interestingly, this marks a $100 increase from last year’s version—though the new color options might be a nice touch for some.

Apple has rolled out glacier and burgundy shades, in addition to the usual hues.

Apple Watch 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4

The Apple Watch Series 12, along with the Apple Watch Ultra 4, is experiencing price changes too.

The Apple Watch 12 is available in two sizes, starting at $399. In contrast, the Apple Watch Ultra 4 is priced at $799.

If you’re considering the Series 12 with a 42mm aluminum case, the price begins at $399, consistent with the base Series 11. For the 46mm version, expect to shell out $449—that’s a $20 increase from the previous generation.

Now there’s a $50 difference between the two sizes, even though they may look quite similar.

The Ultra 4 maintains its price at $799, same as last year’s model, and it’ll be available starting on September 18, but with only minor updates.

AirPods 5

For AirPods enthusiasts, there’s a bit of good news. The new AirPods 5 base model is carrying the same price tag as last year’s, while the higher-end version has actually become less expensive.

The AirPods 4 base model held a price of $129, and the upgraded version was $179. Now, the AirPods 5 base model is also at $129, but its enhanced version is priced at just $149.

If you’re inclined to spend, you can check out the pre-order details on the Apple website.
