‘The View’ co-host promises to ‘wear a MAGA hat’ if Trump gets Hamas to release the hostages

The View co-host Alyssa Farrah Griffin said she plans to wear a MAGA hat for an entire episode of her show if President-elect Donald Trump can get Hamas to release the hostages.

Griffin's suggestion came as female hosts were discussing Trump's presence at the Notre Dame Cathedral reopening ceremony. Crowds filled France's Notre-Dame Cathedral for the first time in almost five years, holding mass for the first time on Sunday after a devastating fire broke out in 2019. Sunday's Mass followed the cathedral's opening ceremony on Saturday, which was attended by President Trump, First Lady Jill Biden, Prince William and other notables.

Photos of President Trump and the first lady appearing to have a hearty chat at the event went viral, and the president-elect used one of them to promote his new fragrance line.

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, President Trump wrote, “Here's my new Trump perfume and cologne! I call it 'Fight, Fight, Fight' because they are our… Because it symbolizes the victory of The tagline says, “A scent that your enemies can't resist.”

The co-hosts of “The View” disagreed over Trump's messages, his photo with the first lady and whether their relationship was as cordial as it appeared.

Alyssa Farrah Griffin faced immediate backlash after she suggested wearing a MAGA hat to praise President Trump for returning hostages to Israel.

Co-host Sarah Hynes warned there may be more going on behind the scenes than what appears in the photos.

“As you can see, there are two photos of the same thing. It doesn't look all that friendly. There may be something more going on,” she said.

But Griffin argued that the photo was not only meant to reassure America and its allies, but also serve as a warning to enemies around the world that the republic remains united.

“It's important that not only America's allies but also America's adversaries are watching this moment, and the world will be watching this election to see what happens and that there will be a peaceful transition of power. Despite my concerns about Donald Trump and the warnings of others, which are still very real, America is going to move forward, and the first lady is going to help the world That means he will be able to be true to Trump on stage,” the program said. said a co-host who once worked for Trump. “Also, on the outskirts of this matter, he met with Macron and Zelensky and talked about the war in Ukraine. That's something I care about very much, and I think Donald Trump will probably support the U.S. position and fight against Ukraine.” We hope you will come back to continue supporting us.”

“When I say I won't do anything apocalyptic, I don't mean changing the tone. I don't mean everything is a five-alarm. If he does good deeds, if he If you're going to rescue a hostage, I promise to do it.'Wear your MAGA hat for a day on the show and say, 'Thank you for doing that,'” Griffin said.

“Please don't do that,” said one of the co-hosts, looking irritated.

Griffin joked, “She's going to knock it off my head,” and insisted, “You have to be able to cheer when victory happens and mercilessly condemn wrongdoing.”

Griffin served as the White House's director of strategic communications during President Trump's first administration, resigning in December 2020. Since joining “The View,” he has been a vocal critic of Trump, often warning of the dangers he poses to the country.
