Tim Tebow's WrestleMania match would have had butts in the seats, and that almost happened.
WWE Chairman Nick Carne appeared on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday and talked about how current WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque, known in the wrestling world as Triple H, introduced WWE to him when he was an agent. He revealed that he had given it to him.

Khan revealed that Levesque called him about setting up a match with Tebow.
“Paul called me. It was an unsolicited call. Tim Tebow had just been fired by the Patriots. Paul called me and said, 'Hey, I'd like to introduce myself. But my name is Paul Levesque.'' I said, “Oh yeah, Triple H, I know who you are. I call you Terra Rising (former WCW wrestling name) “I remember it as,” Khan explained.
“He said, 'Do you know WWE?' I said, 'Yeah, I know about WWE. I've been a fan since I was a kid. I went to WrestleMania IX at Caesars Palace. “I was an usher there,'' he answered. “What's going on?” I said. He said, 'What do you think of Tim Tebow against Big Show?' whatever WrestleMania is after the Patriots are eliminated. ”

Khan said the two talked about money and brought the idea to the former NFL player.
“Tim and I then had a secret, private meeting in Anaheim, California, with Tim Tebow, myself, Vince McMahon, and Triple H to discuss the matter,” Khan said. “In the end, it didn't happen.”
Mr. Khan said he remained in touch with Mr. Levesque, which led him to his own company.
Tebow never made the Patriots' roster and was released before the start of the 2013 season. If things had gone the wrestling way, Tebow would have faced Big Show (real name Paul Wight) at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans.
