Tom Brady defends Travis Kelce after Super Bowl blowup at Andy Reid

Some NFL fans appeared to be offended by Travis Kelce yelling at and bumping into Chiefs coach Andy Reid on the sideline during the 2024 Super Bowl, the first time the two had met in five years. After winning his third ring, he believed the tight end had crossed the line, even though he downplayed the situation.

Tom Brady knows the emotions of high-stakes football better than anyone, winning a record seven Super Bowls while also being visibly on the sideline when things aren’t going well. Although he could get angry, he saw no problem with Kelce’s actions.

“There are always little problems in the family. Of course, I don’t mind seeing it, because I was involved in many of those problems too. Emotions run really high. You’re definitely not at the center. , you’re not balanced. You’re not in a meditative state yet at that point. You have a strong determination to go out there and win,” Brady said. He said this on SiriusXM’s “Let’s Go!” With Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray.

“So I think a lot of what’s being said during the game is that people should fly off their backs. And actually, I think Coach Reed did a great job of responding, as always, because Because he said, “I was a little off balance, but Travis is such a competitor.” And I love that because it speaks to his leadership ability. ”

Reid told ESPN after the game that Kelce apologized and gave him a hug after the incident, but Kelce said he would keep his comments private from his coach.

Lip reader Jeremy Freeman told the Post that Kelce yelled at Reed, “Come on, you son of a bitch, put it on me.”

Ms Fitzgerald said the people she fought with the most were the people she loved the most, and said the person she fought with most was her brother.

“When you grow up with someone sleeping in the same bed or sharing a room, you’re going to have problems,” the former Cardinals receiver said. “You’ve been coached by the same guy for years, he understands you, you understand him. When you go into it a little more than you probably should, they… Understand “Because they love you.”

“That says a lot about Coach Reed’s confidence in himself because he doesn’t take it personally at all,” Brady responded. “He looked at it and didn’t feel like anyone was offending him. He accepted it as it was and didn’t try to make it into anything more, and he didn’t feel like anyone was trying to disrespect him. I don’t see it. Travis isn’t trying to do those things. He’s just trying to get fired up and stay in the moment.”

Kelce, 34, had nine catches for 93 yards after only having one catch for one yard in the first half.
