Trump border czar Tom Homan suggests US-born children of illegal migrants could be held in halfway houses

President-elect Donald Trump's border czar Tom Homan has indicated that the incoming administration is considering using half houses to protect U.S.-born children of illegal immigrants as part of a mass deportation plan. .

“When it comes to American children, children, it's going to be a difficult situation because we're not going to detain your American citizen children. “So if you choose to have a U.S. citizen child while you are in the country illegally, you are putting yourself in that position and you are putting your family in that position,” Homan added.

Having children who are U.S. citizens “doesn't make them immune to our laws,” the hardline border czar has repeatedly said.
