Trump courts Hawkeye voters with less than 2 weeks to Iowa caucuses: Watch live

Former President Trump is scheduled to speak in Iowa on Friday, less than two weeks before the state's caucuses, which begin the 2024 primary voting season.

President Trump is scheduled to hold two separate “Caucus Commitment” meetings on Friday night. The first event will be held in Sioux Center at 5pm ET and the second event will be held in Mason City at 8:30pm ET.

The former president remains the party's front-runner, leading in Iowa with 51.6 percent support, according to The Hill/Decision Desk headquarters polling average. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley follow with 18% and 17.1%, respectively.

Trump, DeSantis and Haley were also the only candidates to qualify for CNN's Republican primary debate in the Hawkeye State next week.

But as with the debate sanctioned by the Republican National Committee last year, the former president chose to sit out. Instead, he will participate in a Fox News town hall that will begin at the same time.
