President Donald Trump shames and condemns the Episcopal bishop who politicized the National Cathedral Prayer Service, a long-standing tradition at the National Cathedral, after forcing political statements about “transgender children” and illegal immigrants did.

On Tuesday, Bishop Marian Edgar Boudet addressed a large crowd at a traditional inaugural prayer service attended by President Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and their families.
Then, out of nowhere, a female bishop randomly urges President Trump to “have mercy” on “gay, lesbian, and transgender children,” present during an unbiblical and politicized message. The person widened his eyes and grinned, causing confusion.
“Please have mercy on the people of our country who are scared right now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender children in Democratic, Republican, and Independent families, some of whom fear for their lives. ” she said.
Throughout the impromptu speech, Vance was seen laughing a little and turning to his wife in disbelief as Budde continued speaking.
Shortly after, President Trump responded to the “disgusting” speech in a post on Truth Social and demanded an apology.
“The so-called bishop who spoke at the National Prayer Meeting on Tuesday morning was a radical left-wing hardliner who hated Trump. She brought her church into politics in a very disrespectful way. She had a bad tone; It wasn't convincing, it wasn't smart. She didn't mention the large number of illegal immigrants who came into our country and killed people,” Trump wrote.
“Many were taken from prisons and psychiatric hospitals. It's a huge crime wave happening in America. Other than her inappropriate remarks, the service was very boring and unimpressive. She’s not very good at her job. She and her church owe the public an apology!”
The service was attended by Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and Hindu-speaking people. But, strangely, no conservative evangelical speaker was given a slot to speak at the inauguration.
In addition to Trump, Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) also spoke out against Budde's comments, saying, “The person who gave this sermon should be added to the deportation list.”
President Trump recently signed an executive order to remove illegal aliens accused of violent crimes from the country, following former President Joe Biden's lax “catch-and-release” border policy. The result was an influx of millions of illegal immigrants from the southern border.
President Trump also directed federal agencies to admit only two genders, male and female, and banished awakened DEI efforts to return to meritocracy as the sole element of the federal hiring process. He also signed an order to do so.
“As of today, it is the official policy of the United States government going forward that there are only two genders: male and female,” President Trump said in his inaugural address on Monday.
