Thousands of copies of former President Donald Trump's “God Bless America” Bible were printed in China, a review of trade records reveals. Associated Press.
According to the Associated Press, records show a printing company in eastern China shipped about 120,000 copies of the Trump Bible to the United States in three separate shipments between February and March.
The total cost of the shipment was $342,000, or less than $3 per Bible, the Associated Press reported, citing customs and a database that tracks import and export data.
Earlier this year, President Trump partnered with country musician Lee Greenwood to sell the “God Bless the USA” Bible.
“The biggest thing this country is missing is religion and Christianity, and I truly believe that we need to bring them back, and we need to bring them back quickly,” President Trump said.Video shared to his Truth Social site. “I think this is one of the biggest problems we have. That's why our country is in turmoil. We've lost religion in our country.”
While President Trump was president, his administration exempted the Bible and other religious texts from tariffs on billions of dollars of Chinese goods.
Although President Trump often makes harsh statements about China, he occasionally expresses admiration for Chinese President Xi Jinping. But he has often said his economic policies will help make more products in the United States.

Oklahoma is facing accusations that it narrowly defines its requirements for in-school Bible programs in an effort to ensure Bible purchases supported by President Trump.
“This bid does not appear to be competitive in any way,” said former state Attorney General Drew Edmondson.
Some of President Trump's foreign policy advisers are pushing for a more aggressive U.S. China policy, both economically and in increasing U.S. military power in Asia.
