President-elect Trump on Sunday named Alina Haba, his personal lawyer and one of his most dedicated media representatives, as his presidential adviser.

“Arena is a tireless champion of justice, a passionate defender of the rule of law, and a valued advisor to my campaign and transition team,” President Trump said in a statement. “She was unwavering in her loyalty, unparalleled in her determination, and stood by me through numerous 'trials,' battles, and countless days in court.”
Mr. Haba, a first-generation American who runs a law firm of the same name, first took over the defamation lawsuit filed against Mr. Trump by former “The Apprentice” contestant Summer Zervos, and later filed suit Withdrawn.
The fashion merchandiser-turned-lawyer represented the former president in a massive civil fraud trial brought by New York State Attorney General Letitia James (D), which ended with a hundreds of millions of dollars in judgments.
Mr. Haba also represented Mr. Trump in a defamation and sexual assault lawsuit filed by advice columnist E. Jean Carroll, winning nearly $100 million in two jury trials.
Trump is currently appealing all of these rulings.
Mr. Haba has also represented Mr. Trump in other civil cases, including against his 2016 presidential rival Hillary Clinton, the Democratic National Committee, and dozens of other defendants.
