Trump narrowly leads Biden in Arizona, Nevada: Polls

A new poll shows former President Trump narrowly leading President Biden in Arizona and Nevada, with the two heading for a rematch in the general election.

The latest poll from Nevada’s Emerson College Poll/KLAS-TV/The Hill shows Trump with a 3-point lead at 44% to Biden’s 41%, with an additional 15% of voters undecided. did.

Mr. Trump has a 4-point lead in Arizona, with 48% and 8% undecided to Mr. Biden’s 48%.

In Nevada, Biden’s lead narrowed when undecided voters included the candidates they supported, jumping to 49%, while Trump rose to 51%. Trump maintains a 4-point lead in Arizona, but the approval rating is 52% for Trump and 48% for Biden.

Mr. Trump also holds a 4-point lead in Arizona among independents, a key part of the state. Forty-five percent of Arizona independents support Trump, 41% support Biden and 14% are undecided.

Both presidential candidates have secured the delegates they need to win their respective parties, but there are still primaries and caucuses left before the summer conventions. Arizona’s presidential primary will be held on Tuesday.

Even though the nominations are solidified, many voters say they fear a rematch, fending off concerns that both candidates will serve another four years in the White House. Biden has faced persistent criticism because of his age, while Trump is running amid multiple ongoing legal battles.

Trump voters in Arizona support the former president because they care about certain issues or because they like Trump, at 33% and 30%, respectively. Meanwhile, Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, noted that 43% of Biden voters say they support the incumbent because they dislike President Trump.

Similar numbers are seen in Nevada, where 35% of Trump supporters support the former president because of his issues and 25% because they like him, compared to 42% of Biden voters who support Trump because of his issues. I support the incumbent because I don’t like him.

Both surveys were conducted March 12-15 among 1,000 registered voters in each state, and the confidence intervals are close to the margin of error, plus or minus 3 percentage points.
