Trump Speaks at Kennedy Center Board Meeting, Vows to ‘Fix It Up’

President Donald Trump will speak at the Kennedy Center board meeting on Monday, March 17th.

Trump fired several members of the Kennedy Center's board of trustees in February, saying he would make “American Jewel” great again, saying, “Last year, the Kennedy Center featured a drug show targeting our youth. The president has made Richard Grenell the interim executive director.

The left denounced Trump's move to depoliticize the Kennedy Center along with actress Issa Ray. Hamilton Creator Lyn Manuel Miranda and others cancel their appearance. Drug Queens held a protest outside the Kennedy Center after the performance was cancelled, with Vice President J.D. Vance and his family booed during their recent attendance.

President Donald Trump toured on Monday as a self-appointed chairman of the Kennedy Arts Center for Performing Arts in Washington, DC, vowed “We're going to fix it.”

Trump, who replaced several board members in February, said he received a $250 million expansion project in 2019 but was “disappointed” at what the federal-owned building would look like.

The centre includes a 2,465-seat concert hall, a 2,347-seat opera house, a 1,161-seat Eisenhower Theater and a 320-seat Family Theater, which was opened on September 8, 1971.

“I'm very disappointed when I look around,” Trump said. “The bottom line: It has a huge potential. And we work with Congress. …It's a very public facility and we do what we have to do.

“We're going to fix it, but it's really a symbol of our country.”

The property developer said the center “expended a lot of money” in the basement “no one intends to use it.”

He has appointed new members on the tour: Second Lady Ushavance, his Chief of Staff Susie Wills, Fox News hosted by Lowline Graham and Maria Baltiromo, and country music singer Lee Greenwood.

Trump said Monday it would cost $30,000 to run Greenwood piano and “sing” a “small song” on the board. He said, “You can't have it.” “Because of the cost of the union structure.”

On Thursday, Vice President J.D. Vice President J.D. Vance and his wife participated in a national symphony orchestra performance at the Kennedy Center. He was seen in a video being jealous by members of the audience.

Tramper said the performance was “awakening” and appointed Special Mission envoy Richard Grenell as interim executive director. On Monday, Grenell said he would not allow the Kennedy Center to become an intolerant place, and that there is a plan for a “big large celebration of the birth of Christ at Christmas.”

Trump announced in February via True Social by the board that he “chaired the board of directors of the Honorable Kennedy Center” and that he would “make the Kennedy Center a very special and exciting place.”

Deborah Lutter was expelled as president of the Centre after serving for more than a decade.

“You're going to get a lot of improvements in that physically, and we're going to get some very good shows,” Trump said.

Actor Issa Ray has cancelled the scheduled sell-out performance this month and “I have decided to cancel my appearance at this venue because I believe it is an infringement of the value of the institution that has faithfully praised artists of all backgrounds through every medium.”

Lin-Manuel Miranda cancelled the Broadway hit, Hamilton's run next year.

“I didn't really like 'Hamilton',” Trump said Monday. “I didn't like it, but we have some really good shows.”

During his first term, Trump Trump did not attend performances there, including the Kennedy Center honors ceremony, after the annual gala gave honors to several performers who voiced him.

The board typically selects the Kennedy Center recipients.

“It's a huge part of the fabric in Washington, DC, and we're going to make our Capitol great again,” he said in a variation of his theme, “make America great again.”

He equated his concerns with other issues with concerns about the centre.

“It's very similar to what I'm witnessing elsewhere,” Trump said Monday. “We have open boundaries and we have men playing women's sports, it's all the same thing, it's all the same mentality and thought.
