Veteran reporter Bob Woodward said on MSNBC’s “inside” Monday that President Donald Trump was “throwing a bomb of ignorance.”
Woodward said, “He thinks tariffs are a good remedy. Well, tariffs are taxes on consumers. It means that consumers are paying. There may be some benefits, but we now have a real benefit of feeling it in the economy, basically he has a good economy. It affects not only the stock market but the stability that prices feel in their lives and facilities.”
He continued, “In Trump making decisions, there’s no consistency. There’s no plan. It’s very random. I feel like I’m watching it every day. And he’s now on a tour of vengeance for people who have worked for him or for people who don’t like him or don’t think about him.
Woodward said, “What is the goal that someone needs to tell him? What are you trying to do? Are you trying to confuse and crush the country you are leading? Is it being revenge? Is it in some way? It’s quite troublesome.”
