Trump’s administration mocks all past staff members, including Obama, with one easy alteration

A recent move by the Trump administration has led to an interesting change for all former White House employees: they will eventually have to see the president’s face again.

Trump’s team made a clever tweak aimed at members of his past administration, which will likely be a running joke at least until his term ends.

This adjustment involves the updating of the White House’s LinkedIn profile photo, showcasing President Trump’s official portrait from 2025, which was revealed back in June.

As a result, anyone who has previously listed their time at the White House in their work experience section will now have Trump’s face prominently displayed on their profiles. This is bound to affect many, especially former President Barack Obama.

Donald Trump Jr. even mentioned this change, pointing to it in his own social media posts. He shared a screenshot of Obama’s LinkedIn page, noting, “It’s just been confirmed…it’s real. One of the greatest trolls of all time…Changing the White House LinkedIn profile photo.”

However, this playful gesture hasn’t been well received by everyone. Members of the Biden administration responded rather seriously. Former Biden spokesperson Jeremy Edwards commented on Twitter about the implications of this change, mentioning that former employees would now have to see Trump’s face whenever they access their profiles.

White House Communications Director Stephen Chan responded hours later, confirming that the intent behind this decision was indeed to troll former staff members.

Edwards, not one to hold back, fired back at Chan, suggesting he ought to be thankful that he wouldn’t have to see his face in the same way on the app.

The photo switch has gained attention, with reporters from various outlets questioning Trump about this portrait displayed in the Rose Garden. When asked if he would consider including a picture of President Biden, Trump seemed dismissive, calling it “not an interesting question,” and stated, “That’s a decision I have to make.”
