Trump’s Bloodbath Comments Meant ‘Riots in the Streets’
Former Rep. David Jolly (R-Fla.) said Monday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that former President Donald Trump said there would be “bloodshed” in 2024 because there would be riots in the streets. He said that was what he meant.
On Saturday, at a rally in Dayton, Ohio, President Trump said, “If you’re listening, President Xi, and you and I are friends, he knows how to deal with me. They’re building a car manufacturing plant, and they’re going to get it, they’re not going to hire Americans, they’re going to sell cars like they’re doing now, they’re going to give 100% to every car that comes through the line. We’re going to impose tariffs, and if I win, I won’t be able to sell those cars. Now, if I don’t win, the whole thing will be a disaster – that would be the bare minimum. It will be a bloodbath for the country.”
Jolie said, “I think he meant bloodshed. I think he meant to say there would be riots in the streets. Let him get away with saying that’s not what he meant. So, you against Adolf Hitler. Describe your admiration for the violence that ignited the violence on January 6th. Describe your willingness to take to the streets to commit violence when you see protesters. Please, because bloodshed is one of the many grievances against America and the American spirit. I think it’s clear what he meant by bloodbath. It’s a rare moment for Donald Trump.”
