President-elect Donald Trump's new border czar, Tom Homan, scrapped plans to expel millions of immigrants from the United States starting Monday, saying “I don't care what people think of me.”

Homan said the administration's priority is “securing our borders and carrying out deportation operations.”

“What are you angry about?” [the Biden] “The government has managed the most secure border in my lifetime, so I'm going to go back and do what I can to fix it,” he added.

He added, “I don't care if you're a Republican or a Democrat or an independent because border security is national security. We should all be on the same side on that.”

Homan, a former police officer and Border Patrol agent, highlighted President Trump's large-scale deportation plan, saying it would prioritize “public safety and national security threats” and on-site inspections.

“President Trump has been clear: Public safety threats and national security threats are going to be a priority because they pose the most danger to this country.”

Additionally, Homan said he is ready to do whatever it takes to resolve the Biden administration's crisis.

“I've been on this network for years complaining about what this administration has done to this border. I've been complaining about it and what they're going to do to fix it. I kept shouting and screaming about whether it was necessary. So when the president asked me, “Can you come back and fix it?” Of course. I would be a hypocrite if I didn't do that,” he told the media.

“I am honored that the President has asked me to come back and help solve this national security crisis. I am very much looking forward to it.”

“I think the mission is clear,” Homan continued. [Biden] The administration has managed the most secure border in my lifetime, and I intend to go back and do everything I can to repair it. ”

President Trump announced Sunday night that Homan would join his administration when he returns to the White House in January.

“I am pleased to announce that former ICE Director and Border Enthusiast Tom Homan will be joining the Trump Administration to take charge of our nation’s borders (the “Border Czar”). Southern border, northern border, all maritime and air security,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

“I've known Tom for a long time, and there's no one better than him to secure and manage our borders. Similarly, Tom Homan is a leader in deporting illegal aliens to their countries of origin. I will be in charge of everything.”
