Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon said Americans “have to be scared of the bone marrow of your bones” after the praise of Luigi Mangione’s left-wingers, who was accused of killing insurance executive Brian Thompson outside a hotel in New York City in December 2024.
Speaking at the Semafor’s World Economy Summit this week in Washington, DC, Bannon highlighted the need for populist nationalist ideology to combat Marxist ideas that justify violence against capitalists.
“We narrow down choices and alternatives. We don’t care if it’s Bernie Sanders and AOC or Donald Trump,” the host of “Bannon’s Warroom” told Semafor Editor-in-Chief Smith. “As a country, we have to come to a solution…and everything Harvard and the university and law firms show you, everything it’s federal money.”
He continues to attack federal funds that pay to institutions of higher education to drive the left, saying, “Harvard is everything about federal money. Everyone has a nose in the trough, and who pays it?”
According to Bannon, the “alternative” for “populist nationalists” is “this Luigi.”
Mangionthe 26-year-old from Maryland faces state and federal charges of the cold-blooded murder of Thompson, CEO of United Healthcare, until he was fatally shot by a Manhattan masked man.
The US Attorney General has already announced that she is seeking the death penalty for anyone suspected of murder, the leftist character like a journalist Taylor Lorenz Beyond Mangion, he calls him “handsome”, “revolutionary” and “morally good.”
“Look at how he is treated like a hero. He is treated like Robin Hood,” Bannon said. “It should scare you to the bone marrow of your bones because if the system continues like that, it is an alternative. That alternative is your alternative. We offer populist nationalists – you will never love, but you can live together.”
