At least 14 people were killed and 37 people were injured, including 37 children, 37 people, including five children, in Russian missiles and drone attacks on Saturday in the eastern city of Dobropyria and Ukraine's eastern city of Dubropyria.
Three other civilians were killed in a drone attack on the Kalkiv area in the northeast, the ministry added.
The ministry said Russian forces attacked Dobropyria with ballistic missiles, multiple rockets and drones, damaging eight multi-storey buildings and 30 cars.
“While extinguishing the fire, the occupying people attacked again, causing damage to the fire truck,” the ministry said on a telegram messenger.
The ministry released photos of the partially destroyed building, wrapped in fires and rescuers removing tiled rubbers from the building.
Dobropyria, home to about 28,000 people before the war, is located in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine, 13.67 miles from the north line of Pokrovsk's main hub where Russian forces have been attacking for several weeks.
The ministry also said at least three people were killed and seven were injured overnight in another drone attack on the Khalkiv area.
The Ukrainian forces said Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with two Iskander M ballistic missiles and one Iskander-K cruise missile, as well as a 145 drone.
They said the Air Force fired down one cruise missile and 79 drones. The military said another 54 drones did not reach the target due to electronic measures.
