Republican presidential candidate former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-South Carolina) said Tuesday on “The Hugh Hewitt Show” that former President Donald Trump is “not upset.”
Asked about President Trump’s question about the whereabouts of her deployed husband, Haley said, “This is about all military families who are making sacrifices, and no matter how difficult it is for a loved one to be deployed.” I know what’s going on,” he said. And this is about Donald Trump’s pattern. I mean, he’s said this before, calling military personnel suckers and losers. We know that when he was at Arlington Cemetery, he said, “What good is it to them?” He has never even come close to a military uniform. ”
she continued. “And for him to go and mock my husband and the men and women in the military shows how disconnected he is from sacrifice. And what these men and women do every day is to ridicule their own Not because they think about it, not because they enjoy it, but because they know that freedom is not free. And they are willing to shed blood for it. This idea of taking things like that lightly is why we continue to have problems with him.”
Haley added: “He doesn’t waver when he steps away from the teleprompter. And everyone can say whatever they want in terms of, ‘Oh, he was a great president.’ An unstable president is a dangerous president. And if you’re talking about the people who served us, you don’t deserve to be president. ”
