Anti-Israel protests erupt at Fordham University
FOX News correspondent Alexis McAdams reports on the anti-Israel protests at Fordham University and the aftermath of New York City police officers removing protesters from Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall in a “special report.”
A Tehran University professor said in an interview that Iran likes to see protests on American university campuses, adding that if there is a conflict between the two countries, they will support them.
Hud Izadi, a professor with a master’s degree from the University of Houston, appears in a video published on social media and translated by MEMRI.org being interviewed about the protests, according to the University of Southern California Center for Public Diplomacy.America
“Sooner or later, this kind of support for the Zionist regime by the American regime will decrease. It may not stop completely, but the decrease is significant,” he said in a MEMRI video. “This is the reason for the demonstration. [on U.S. campuses] It is important. “
Mr. Izadi spoke as a member of the Islamic Republic, often using “we” to refer to himself and the republic.

“We are monitoring the demonstrations and we like what they say, but this should not be the end,” Izadi said. “If there was no Islamic Republic, the case about the idea of Palestine would have been resolved years ago. Then, [Iranian] The state is not involved at a sufficient level.
“They (American students) are our people,” he continued. “If tensions between the United States and Iran escalate tomorrow or the day after, these are the people who will have to take to the streets to support Iran.”
Izadi said there is a much larger Hezbollah-like group in the United States than there is in Lebanon.

“America is the great devil and our main enemy, but we have hope in these areas,” he said.
Lisa Daftari, an Iran expert and editor-in-chief of the Foreign Desk, offered insight into Izadi’s comments.
“It’s so enriching to see the same regime that is obsessed with torturing, raping, blinding, and executing its own college students glorifying ignorant college students on American campuses. ,” she said. “This speaks to their focus on expanding their influence outside of Iran.”

Daftari explained that Iran is strengthening terrorist organizations in the region and funneling money to American universities.
But he also said the Iranian people had suffered under the rule of “barbaric” leaders.
After seeing the comments, Daftari also said it was interesting to hear Izadi say there are more Hezbollah supporters in the United States than in Lebanon.

“Regardless of when the pro-Hamas protests subside here in the United States, it is clear that the regime aims to manipulate this momentum to launch further attacks here in the Western world,” she said.
