Sen. J.D. Vance on Monday accused the Biden-Harris administration of not doing enough to bring home hostages taken from Israel by Hamas during the deadly Oct. 7 attack a year ago. denounced.
Vance, R-Ohio, spoke during the Philos Project vigil and march on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., briefly targeting President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Let's get a little political here. It's shameful that we have a president and vice president of the United States who are doing nothing,” Vance said. “Vice President Harris, our message is: Bring them home. Use your authority to bring them home. We can do it. We just need real leadership. ”
Iran-backed Hamas terrorists launched a massacre against Israel in an attack on October 7 last year, killing about 1,200 people, including 46 Americans, and taking about 250 hostages. A year later, about 100 people, including several Americans, remain held by Hamas as U.S.-led efforts to negotiate a ceasefire and hostage release agreement fail.

The attack sparked a war in Gaza, with Israel moving to eliminate Hamas and return the hostages. More than 41,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military operations, according to the Hamas-run Health Ministry, which does not distinguish between militants and civilians.
Harris came under fire Sunday for appearing to be unable to fully commit to Israel and giving lengthy, “word salad” answers during an interview with CBS's “60 Minutes.”

Meanwhile, Vance fully supported Israel, saying former President Trump would ensure Israel's right to defend itself and bring the hostages home.

“I speak for Donald Trump and say that if he becomes president, America will protect our Jewish American brothers and sisters, and we will stop funding anti-American, anti-Semitic extremists.
