Solani was referring to the horrific incident that took place on October 3rd. At that time, three masked and hooded individuals wandered into his store — Jewelry Forever in Markham — and attempted to rob him.
As you might expect, local police told the CBC they don't recommend fighting back against criminals, but they told the news network they believe Solani will fight back again.
The robbery was captured on store surveillance video, which Solani posted on store video. instagram page A few days ago.
One of the crooks was carrying a hammer and wasted no time in slamming the top of the display case, while the other was carrying a bag, presumably to collect valuables.

The third person had little chance to do anything — because within seconds, Solani is seen confronting the bad guys with a plastic broomstick, according to CBC.
Bagholder broke fast. The second scammer, who initially didn't seem to be doing anything special, jumped up and down a few times as if to fight the store owner, then left the store somewhat reluctantly, but did nothing.
With that, Solani approached the hammer-wielding attacker, who seemed unaware that his attacker was behind him as he continued to pound on the display case.

“The important thing is safety and not everyone can do that, so I understand that,” Solani told CBC. “But if we don't…it will keep happening.” He also told the news network that he believes criminals too often get away with no consequences.
