On Wednesday's broadcast of Fox News Channel's “The Ingraham Angle,” Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Florida) said FEMA funding for immigrants should be immediately zeroed out and FEMA funding for hurricane victims should be reduced to zero. We also said that while there is funding for FEMA, we should increase FEMA funding. Emergency relief funds “will go directly to Americans affected by floods and hurricanes.”
“I want people to know that I have actually been negotiating with not only FEMA and the governor's office, but also the White House,” Luna said. And we're going to make sure the money goes to American citizens, not illegal aliens. The fact that such a thing happened is unacceptable. ”
Host Laura Ingraham interjected: I think they call all this misinformation and disinformation. That's among the pile of complaints we heard from the White House today. ”
“I introduced or co-sponsored a bill to immediately end that funding. But we have the money and I want to assure the American people that we have the money,” Luna said. I introduced bipartisan funding, and $15 billion of that money will go directly to Americans affected by floods and hurricanes.”
