The White House revealed on Wednesday that it has secured at least $1.2 trillion in economic commitments from Qatar, which includes a landmark deal with Boeing.
During President Donald Trump’s visit to Qatar—his second stop in the Middle East—the White House announced that an agreement has been signed to facilitate at least $1.2 trillion in economic exchanges. This amount encompasses over $243.5 billion in economic transactions between the US and Qatar.
Furthermore, Boeing and GE Aerospace have finalized a contract with Qatar Airways valued at $96 billion, which allows for the acquisition of up to 210 Boeing 787 Dreamliner and additional aircraft outfitted with GE Aerospace engines.
This marks the largest order for Boeing’s widebody aircraft and the most significant order for the 787 model to date.
