Taylor Sheridan Acquires Cattlemen’s Steak House in Fort Worth
Taylor Sheridan, the creator of “Yellowstone,” has bought the well-known Cattlemen’s Steak House, which is located in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards.
David Glasser and Dan Schryer, Sheridan’s business partners, shared details about the acquisition this past Wednesday. According to CBS News, the restaurant is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation that aims to enhance its food and wine selections. Improvements will also include new dining areas, a bar, an outdoor patio complete with a live music stage, and additional event spaces.
Being a native Texan, Sheridan has a personal connection to the venue. He has been supplying USDA-grade beef to the restaurant from his Four Sixes Ranch.
His goal is to preserve the essence of the menu and concept that keeps loyal customers returning.
“Fort Worth represents a crucial location for both our state and the country. It’s where the West begins and the cattle industry was established,” Sheridan stated in a press release, as quoted by CBS News.
“This city deserves a gathering place for those who have influenced its history and will shape its future—somewhere friendships can grow and the best of this city is celebrated,” he added.
Sheridan and his partners are also planning the introduction of “Cattlemen’s Club,” a members-only dining and social area that can seat 130 people. To gain membership, there’s a one-time initiation fee of $1,000 and an annual fee of $3,000. They expect this feature to launch in the summer of 2025, according to CBS News.
Tyler Duncan from Duncan Design Group in Grapevine mentioned that the renovations will embody “everything cowboy.”
This acquisition marks another step in Sheridan’s investments in Texas. He has filmed various other Paramount series in the region, including parts of his original series “Landman” in Downtown Fort Worth, contributing positively to the local film and arts economy, as noted by CBS.
Cattlemen’s Steak House was established in 1947 by Jesse and Mozella Roach and has been part of the Stockyards for over 75 years. The current owners, Marti Taylor and Larry Heppe, will remain as part-owners under Sheridan’s new arrangement.
