The Islanders have released their schedule for the 2025-26 season, and there are some notable adjustments to their home game times.
After starting games at 7:30 PM during their first four years at UBS Arena, the default time has shifted to 7 PM.
This new schedule includes 26 out of 41 home games starting at this earlier time, plus 10 games beginning before 4 PM.
The only game slated for a 7:30 PM start will be against the Rangers on January 28th, which marks the third meeting between the teams leading up to the trade deadline on March 6th. This match will also kick off a series that wraps up their regular season encounters.
For the upcoming season, the Islanders will play a total of 16 back-to-back games.
Brock Nelson, who was traded to Colorado after a long tenure in Long Island, is set to return to UBS Arena with the Avalanche on December 4th.
The NHL will take a break for the Olympics from February 6th to 24th, with UBS Arena scheduling a postponement event from February 6th-8th.
After competing in the international tournament in Milan, the Islanders will face Noah Dobson and the Canadiens in Montreal on February 26th. Dobson, who just signed an eight-year, $76 million deal with Montreal after being traded, had been drafted 12th overall in 2018.
He will make another appearance on Long Island during the second game of the regular season on April 12th.
Along with a significant six-game homestand from November 22nd to December 2nd—the longest of the season—the Islanders will also finish with 10 of their last 12 games on home ice. This could play a pivotal role if they are vying for a playoff spot as the season wraps up.
