Olivia Culpo Celebrates Christian McCaffrey’s First NFL Training Camp as a Dad

Olivia Culpo shared a sweet moment on Monday as her husband, Christian McCaffrey, headed to his first NFL training camp as a new father.

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, who welcomed their daughter Colette Analise McCaffrey earlier this month, noted that he would miss a significant run during his time with the 49ers.

In her post, Culpo, 33, expressed her support, writing, “Today, the best dad in the world goes to camp. Everyone wishes him good luck @christianmccaffrey.”

She later added, “We’re going to miss him so much,” accompanied by a crying emoji.

Culpo and McCaffrey shared the exciting news of their child’s arrival in a joint Instagram post on July 13, featuring a black and white photo carousel that captured moments in the hospital.

One photo depicted Culpo on the surgical table, with McCaffrey holding her hand during the C-section.

Throughout her pregnancy, Culpo candidly discussed some health challenges she faced. In a TikTok video from March, the 2012 Miss Universe revealed that she had been on bed rest for weeks.

“I had pneumonia and I was sick for two weeks,” Culpo recounted in her “Preparing with Me” video. “Overall, I was really on bed rest for four weeks… towards the end of this really sick period, I was basically a uterine thrombus and bleeding everywhere.” She reflected on the exhaustion she felt, noting that it had been a lot to handle.

She also explained that a subchorionic hematoma, which involves bleeding between the uterus wall and one of the sacs, had been part of her struggle during pregnancy.

Culpo had shared her hopes for a first child with McCaffrey back in March. Their marriage took place less than a year earlier in her home state of Rhode Island, with a ceremony at Watch Hill Chapel followed by a celebration at Ocean House Resort.
