Tesla Diner Opens in Los Angeles
Tesla Diner, located in Los Angeles, is now offering round-the-clock service for both hungry guests and their electric vehicles (EVs). The diner, which officially opened its doors in Hollywood on Monday, has captured attention for its unique, retrofitted design.
On Tuesday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to X to share his excitement about the diner, remarking on its quirky aspects. One of his posts humorously noted, “Only Tesla takes photos of the toilet before you use it.”
This two-story establishment on Santa Monica Boulevard features impressive 66-foot tall LED “Megascreens.” The diner boasts various attractions, including an app that allows Tesla drivers to browse what’s playing on the screens from their vehicle.
Tesla’s New AI-Powered Ride-Hailing Service
In another innovation, Tesla is currently testing a ride-hailing service called FSD Supperided, powered by AI. This could change the way people think about transportation and dining experiences.
During the grand opening, guests lined up to see Tesla’s CyberTruck parked beneath one of the massive screens, and it was clear that the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement.
The site offers a variety of entertainment options, including popular sci-fi films and live coverage of SpaceX rocket launches, completing the futuristic theme of the diner.
Unique Features and Menu Offerings
The diner has over 250 seats available, along with 80 supercharged stalls. Special merchandise includes amusing items like “supercharged gummies” and action figures of Tesla robots. The first floor features a lively dining area and bar, while the second floor has more seating options; it may also include theater-style seats in the future.
For those multitasking while wandering the menu, options include breakfast tacos, biscuits with red gravy, and the signature Tesla burgers. However, note that parking is exclusive to EV charging, and guests are required to be either recharging their car or dining to access the big screens.
Musk himself visited the diner recently, calling it one of the coolest spots in LA. Currently, the diner does not serve alcohol, and cash is not accepted.
Construction for the project began in the fall of 2023 and has now transformed into a vibrant hub for Tesla enthusiasts and diners alike. As the company prepares to release its second-quarter financial results, it will be interesting to see how this unique venture plays into Tesla’s broader business strategy.
