Joe Jonas might have just dropped a big hint about a hidden Disney project.
During his appearance on “Hot Ones,” the DNCE lead singer was asked to read from his phone’s notes app, and what he read startled both his brothers, Nick and Kevin Jonas.
“Read ‘Camp Rock 3,'” he announced aloud.
Nick, taken aback, nearly spilled his drink, while laughter erupted from the crew.
Kevin nervously chuckled, “Okay, that’s pretty good.”
As Joe continued to scroll through his phone, he seemed to be on the verge of revealing something significant.
“It’s true and literally here,” he stated as the laughter continued. “Sorry, Disney,” he quipped.
The original “Camp Rock,” which starred the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, first aired on Disney Channel back in 2008. It focused on a summer music camp featuring Lovato’s character, Mitchie Torres, and Joe’s character, Shane Gray.
The film was well-received, leading to the sequel, “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,” which came out in 2010, and featured a rivalry between the titular camp and Camp Star, as well as romance development between Mitchie and Shane.
Recently, the Jonas brothers surprised fans with a reunion performance alongside Lovato at a New Jersey concert, stirring up speculation about “Camp Rock 3.” During the show at MetLife Stadium, they belted out classics like “Gotta Find You” and “Don’t Change a Thing,” celebrating their 20th anniversary as a group.
At one point, Joe reminisced, noting that they hadn’t performed “This Is Me” in nearly a decade.
Joe, now 35, and Lovato, 32, briefly dated back in 2010. Despite their past, they seem to maintain a solid friendship. Lovato’s husband, Jordan “Jute,” publicly supported her during the surprise performance, expressing pride in an Instagram story with heartfelt words for her.
