Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA) discussed the accomplishments of President Donald Trump related to border security and crime during a recent appearance. She remarked that there is a sense of renewal in America, especially in light of reports suggesting a decline in the number of illegal immigrants, previously estimated at 1.6 million.
“We are respecting our borders and our sovereignty again. When you analyze the figures, this is merely the start,” she stated.
Hinson expressed concerns about President Biden’s administration, estimating that there could be around 20 million illegal immigrants in total currently in the country.
“What we’ve seen achieved in just the first eight months is quite remarkable. One wonders what else could come next,” she added.
She emphasized the importance of deporting illegal immigrants, reinforcing that the U.S. is a nation governed by laws. “There’s a new sheriff in town, and he’s committed to defending the rights of Americans,” she said.
Hinson also addressed the recent measures against crime in Washington, D.C., pointing out how public officials often overlook what the American populace desires. “I think it was just this morning that the police chief issued an order to enhance police operations,” she remarked. “I couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief—these officers are eager to serve and confront the dangerous criminal elements plaguing the city.”
“I genuinely want visitors to feel secure when they come to D.C. I want our nation’s capital to be a safe place,” she continued. “However, there are some individuals who are seemingly reinstating the very issues we’re trying to resolve. If we can’t guarantee safety, it reflects across both our capital and the nation,” Hinson concluded.
