Lawyer for Epstein victims claims undisclosed documents shock the public

The attorney advocating for victims of Jeffrey Epstein expressed on Wednesday that many Americans feel “horrified” about undisclosed documents concerning disgraced investors, which the federal government has yet to release.

Bradley Edwards remarked at a press conference that after being abused by Epstein, the victims continued to face mistreatment from the government. He mentioned lawmakers from Kentucky and California who participated in the event, emphasizing the need for a procedural motion—called a discharge petition—that could compel the Department of Justice to release the Epstein Files.

Edwards stated, “We have filed lawsuits against Epstein, his estate, and two banks—JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank—for enabling his sex trafficking operations.”

“The importance of this discharge petition cannot be understated. I’ve seen the documents, but you haven’t. You’ll be shocked by what you find, and the American public deserves to have full access,” he continued.

He urged that signing the discharge petition means ensuring all documents, including those linked to the CIA and FBI, are made public. “Evil thrives in secrecy and corruption flourishes in the dark. We need to make a change for the survivors,” he concluded, standing with victims beside him.

It’s worth noting that Epstein died in prison six years ago while awaiting federal charges related to sex trafficking.

Representative Thomas Massie highlighted the seriousness of the situation. “This is not some kind of makeup story. The survivors are very much real. This criminal enterprise has victims, and many perpetrators go unpunished because of their wealth and power,” he stated during the conference.

Another victim, Jena Lisa Jones, shared her traumatic experience from 2003 when she was taken to Epstein’s home at just 14 years old. “I had always viewed life positively until that moment—I was terrified in a way I had never experienced before,” she recounted. She expressed gratitude towards the representatives who supported her in coming forward, emphasizing the need to advocate for those affected.

Lastly, Lisa Phillips, another Epstein survivor, mentioned that many victims are working together to compile a list of names associated with their abuses, sharing their knowledge amongst themselves. This collective effort aims to ensure that those who were complicit face the repercussions of their actions.
