Two Educators at Wisconsin Elementary School Accused of Sexual Offenses Involving Children

Wisconsin Teacher Charged with Sexual Assault

A teacher from a Wisconsin elementary school has found herself in serious legal trouble, now accused of assaulting a 15-year-old boy while she worked as a family nanny. This comes on the heels of her previous charge for not reporting sexual misconduct by another teacher.

Prosecutors have charged 25-year-old Abigail Michel Faust with third-degree criminal sexual conduct, an incident that reportedly began after she sent provocative photos to the teen back in December. This case has certainly rocked the Rivercrest Elementary School community in Hudson, a town about 30 miles east of Minneapolis.

Faust resigned from her role as a fifth-grade teacher in May amid accusations that she failed to report sexual abuse by another teacher in the St. Croix County Circuit Court. Previously, she had also faced charges last year for kissing a fifth-grade boy in a classroom.

Another teacher involved, 25-year-old Madison Lynn Bergman, was arrested in May 2024 and charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13. Her case is still ongoing. Court documents reveal that Faust and Bergman exchanged texts about their interactions with students.

Faust has been caring for the 15-year-old boy since 2021. According to reports, the teenager recently told law enforcement that on December 8, Faust sent him a suggestive message via Snapchat, followed by a picture of herself in lingerie. The boy mentioned that Faust seemed to know they were doing something wrong and that he would get in trouble if he told anyone.

Then, just before Christmas in 2024, Faust allegedly went into the boy’s bedroom and engaged in sexual acts without penetration. It’s reported that Faust coaxed him into believing that working out in his sport would lead to sexual activities.

In early January, Faust reportedly assaulted the boy at home, and later, during another night spent together, he felt they were in an exclusive relationship. This continued, with police noting incidents occurring roughly twice a week. Additionally, after the boy’s family took a trip to Florida, Faust began a sexual relationship with one of his teenage friends while caring for the family’s pets.

Faust is currently held in the Washington County Jail in Hudson, unable to meet the cash bail set at $200,000.
