Trump Criticizes Time Magazine’s Cover Photo
President Donald Trump took to Truth Social early Tuesday to voice his displeasure over the latest cover of Time magazine, which highlights the peace agreement he brokered with Hamas. The cover photo, he noted, portrays him bald.
In his post, Trump commented, “Time magazine wrote a relatively good article about me, but the photo may be the worst ever. They ‘disappeared’ my hair and then had what looked like a floating crown on top of my head, but very small. Really weird!”
He further expressed his distaste for the angle of the photograph, stating, “I’ve never liked taking pictures from below, but this is a very bad picture and deserves to be condemned. What are they doing? Why?”
This marks the fourth time Trump has graced the cover since last November.
The accompanying article by Time correspondent Eric Cortelessa highlighted the peace deal as potentially being one of Trump’s notable achievements during his second term.
The agreement could standout as a key success for Trump, aiming to fulfill a campaign promise to end a prolonged conflict that has resulted in numerous casualties. It also seeks to return Israeli prisoners while addressing the rebuilding of Gaza. If successful, it may represent a crucial turning point for the Middle East, enabling Israel—having recently concluded a significant military operation against Hamas—to engage in a historic shift towards peace with nations like Saudi Arabia.
So far, President Trump’s second term has been marked by a push for peace. His administration has reportedly reached resolutions for eight different conflicts or wars since January, including ceasefires or peace agreements between India and Pakistan, Egypt and Ethiopia, and Azerbaijan and Armenia. Additionally, there are indications that he may have helped prevent potential escalation between Serbia and Kosovo.
