Dilbert Creator Claims Trump Helped Save Lives
On his Monday podcast, “Coffee with Scott Adams,” Scott Adams described how his appeal to former President Donald Trump about cancer treatment may have had life-saving implications.
Adams shared a story about a person whose insurance, Kaiser Permanente of Northern California, denied him access to a crucial prostate cancer treatment called Purvict. This prompted multiple Trump supporters to reach out, and it seemed that Trump himself was making an effort to assist, according to Adams.
Adams mentioned several conversations and various individuals involved in the situation, highlighting that even Trump’s son, who was in Africa at the time, expressed his commitment to making it work. He recalled receiving inquiries from key figures, including the Secretary of Health and Human Services and even Dr. Oz, seeking guidance on how they could help.
He referred to Trump as “the greatest president of all time,” noting that Trump had reposted a message encouraging the treatment, saying, “Try it!” Adams perceived a mix of enthusiasm and disappointment, especially given that Kaiser executives seemed preoccupied over the weekend. However, he felt that this intervention could have potentially saved his life.
Adams indicated that while he would explore other treatment options aside from Purvict, he didn’t elaborate on specifics. He did explain that there’s a protocol to administering Purvict, particularly how it cannot be given on the same day due to its requirement for a specialized environment tailored to individual patients.
A treatment interview was lined up right after his live podcast session. Adams previously revealed his cancer diagnosis in May, mentioning that Trump had personally reached out to extend support, saying, “If you need something, I’ll make it happen.”
Kaiser Permanente confirmed that Adams’ oncology team is actively collaborating on his treatment journey, noting their extensive experience with the treatment since its FDA approval and their commitment to handling cases efficiently.
