Chip Roy Plans to Propose Legislation to Halt Mass Migration 'Until We Figure This Out'

Rep. Chip Roy Proposes Immigration Legislation

On Wednesday, Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) announced plans to introduce a bill aimed at halting chain immigration and other visa categories until the country can tackle the issue of mass immigration.

“In Texas, we are significantly impacted by illegal immigration, as well as by chain migration and diversity visas. We’re experiencing the negative effects of the H-1B visa system, which has been exploited, and we’ve been working to address this for quite some time,” Roy mentioned during a conversation with conservative activist Benny Johnson.

He remarked, “What we’re facing is a growing community that doesn’t necessarily want to assimilate, to become Americans, or to adopt Western values and the Constitution.” Roy criticized what he sees as a corporatist influence on national policy.

Referring to a post by Charlie Kirk, Roy called for a restoration of America’s social contract, which would include reducing both illegal and legal immigration significantly.

Roy expressed concerns about the cultural identity of Americans, noting that there are currently about 51 million foreign-born people in the U.S. “Yes, we should abolish the H1-B system. We’re working on a bill that we intend to introduce this week or next,” he added. He suggests a complete immigration freeze until certain goals are met.

He proposed reforms that would eliminate the H1-B visa system, address chain migration, diversity visas, and issues related to birthright citizenship. Conservative supporters in Texas view this bill as a means to “completely freeze immigration until we can deal with this mess.”

In related news, nearly 200 investigations into potential abuses of the H1-B visa program have been initiated as part of the Department of Labor’s initiative aimed at combating discrimination against American workers, according to Breitbart News.

“We are using every resource available to us to address H-1B visa misuse and safeguard skilled American jobs,” declared Labor Secretary Lori Chavez Delemer. She emphasized her personal commitment to ensuring accountability within the H-1B process.

“President Trump has made it abundantly clear that American workers take precedence, and we are dedicated to fulfilling that promise,” she concluded.
