Charges Against Former Teacher’s Aide in Wisconsin
A former teacher’s aide at a Christian school in Wisconsin has been accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a boy who reportedly started “cheating” with her at the age of 12.
Stephanie Jensen, 41, was taken into custody on November 4.
One of the allegations states, “Victim 1” mentioned that Jensen not only sent him nude photos but also shared such content with his friends.
According to records from the Wisconsin Circuit Court, Jensen faces 13 charges that include multiple counts of exposing intimate parts to a child, enticing a child, three counts of sexual activity with a minor aged 16 or older, second-degree sexual assault of a minor, and possession of child pornography.
Reports state that Jensen was employed as a second-grade classroom aide at Faith Lutheran School in Fond du Lac, a school whose mission emphasizes teaching students about the love of Jesus in a safe environment.
As per the criminal complaint, when the boy was in eighth grade, the two frequently crossed paths on campus, eventually leading to an inappropriate relationship. The boy revealed to investigators that he first had sexual encounters with Jensen just before his 16th birthday, detailing that they had sex multiple times before he turned 17.
Further, the student, referred to as “Victim 1,” recalled that their first sexual encounter occurred just before he obtained his driver’s license at the age of 15.
The indictment indicates that Jensen actively shared nude images with the boy and his friends, leading to rumors circulating among his peers regarding her willingness to share such content.
In her conversations with detectives, Jensen admitted to sending explicit materials but denied any sexual interaction with the boy. Upon the detective’s assertion that she was under arrest, Jensen reportedly insisted she wasn’t and even resisted being placed in handcuffs.
After her arrest, Faith Lutheran School dismissed Jensen from her position, emphasizing their commitment to the safety and well-being of their students and community.
The judge has mandated that Jensen maintain no contact with the victim, his family, or any minors. She is set to return to court on November 17, with bail set at $200,000.
