Hasan Piker Declares His Deep Affection for Communist China

Hasan Piker’s Controversial Remarks on Livestream

During a livestream from China, Hasan Piker made a series of striking statements, including using a shock collar on his dog and expressing regret over the U.S. winning the Cold War. His comments drew notable criticism, particularly from Vice President J.D. Vance.

At the beginning of his show, which lasted over seven hours, Piker discussed topics like China’s economic growth and mentioned how “Soviet-era architectural elements” contrasted with modern establishments like a “Gucci store.” He declared, “This is my life now. I’m already Chinese. In my heart, in my soul, in my conscience, I’m already Chinese. Okay? In this chat, we were already white Chinese. I’m now fully Chinese.”

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has a troubling history, with estimates suggesting the deaths of up to 80 million people under its regime. Some studies, like the “black book of communism,” suggest 65 million victims.

Piker previously stated his discontent with the U.S. winning the Cold War, sharing his thoughts in a recent interview. He remarked, “I think we’re in the center of an imperial center. Unfortunately, this is a country that defeated the Soviet Union, and the reality is that there are a lot of rivalries. There is no class consciousness in the United States.”

Communist regimes, including the former Soviet Union established in 1917, are also associated with the deaths of over 100 million people, according to the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation.

Concerns about Piker using a shock collar on his dog, Kaya, were raised when viewers noticed the dog barking during a livestream. Reports suggest he may have used the device to keep Kaya positioned in a more visually appealing spot for hours on end.

Other streamers, like Tektone, have accused Piker of using the collar at high settings, claiming it causes distress to the animal. Experts warn that shock collars can induce anxiety, stress, and unwanted behaviors in dogs.
