Sex assault in LA recorded on video, suspect who is homeless escapes

Violation Near LA Convention Center

A woman walking her dog was sexually assaulted by a homeless man near the Los Angeles Convention Center. The disturbing incident was captured on surveillance footage, and authorities are currently investigating.

The victim, known only as Terra, was at the entrance of a high-rise building when the attacker approached her. Dressed in a black hoodie, he forcefully pinned her against a glass door and straddled her. She later described how he grabbed her neck and groin, while she screamed for assistance. It’s chilling—she noted that he didn’t say anything, just made strange sounds.

The surveillance video, timestamped at 6:23 AM on November 8th, shows Terra managing to momentarily break free before both individuals moved out of view, although her dog remained in the frame. Terra recounted how the man then brought her to the ground, adding, “That’s when he hit me.”

A nearby male bystander heard her cries and jumped in to help, reportedly tackling the assailant and repeatedly striking him. The attacker fled into the streets of downtown Los Angeles, leaving Terra shaken. “It’s terrifying to know he’s still out there,” she commented.

By the time the police arrived, the man had disappeared. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. Since the incident, Terra has taken precautions, carrying mace and a stun gun during her outings. “I’m always looking over my shoulder. It’s unsettling,” she admitted, expressing a hope that others won’t endure similar experiences.

The police are treating this case as sexual assault, and they believe the suspect is homeless. Anyone with details can reach out to the police at 1-877-527-3247.
