Leslie Jones Calls for Accountability for ICE Agents

Former “Saturday Night Live” star Leslie Jones expressed a strong opinion on Monday, suggesting that if the Democrats regain control of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents should be arrested. Speaking with MS NOW host Nicole Wallace, she reflected on the current state of affairs, saying, “I don’t know. It feels like the world has turned upside down.” She went on to criticize some influencers and others for their actions, insisting that while freedom of speech is important, accountability is also necessary.

Wallace chimed in, using a metaphor about gravity, stating, “Just like gravity, things should fall.” This idea of accountability resonated with Jones, who stated, “We can’t keep doing bad things and we’re not going to pay the price for it.”

Jones shared her hopes for what might happen if Democrats take the elections: “I’m hoping that in the midterm elections people will come out like crazy and vote to make the switch, and then there will be a reckoning.” She made it clear that she wants ICE personnel held accountable, saying, “I want them in prison. You all know you’ve done wrong. I know some of the things you’ve done have been very wrong. I need a reckoning, because to me, that’s the only thing that’s going to be right.”
