White House Criticizes Jimmy Kimmel as 'Talentless Loser with Terrible Ratings' After He Suggests Giving Trump an Emmy to Remove ICE from Minnesota

Jimmy Kimmel’s Award Offer to Trump

In a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, comedian Jimmy Kimmel took a sarcastic jab at President Donald Trump, suggesting that he would offer several entertainment awards in return for pulling U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“Mr. Trump loves awards,” Kimmel remarked on Thursday, humorously implying that “the only way to get him to do something is by giving him an award.”

“That being said, Mr. President, I have a proposal that might be too tempting to turn down,” Kimmel continued. “If you agree to withdraw ICE from Minneapolis and send them back to where they belong, I’m ready to hand you one of the trophies I’ve accumulated over the years.”

Kimmel then listed various awards he’s received, including the Daytime Emmy Award, Clio Award, Webby Award, and Writers Guild Award.

“Or, even better, I’d happily give you the 2015 Soul Train Award for Best White Man,” he joked. “The choice is yours. In return for leaving the people of Minneapolis alone, I will personally bring some or all of these to the Oval Office.”

As of now, President Trump hasn’t responded, but the White House did fire back, calling Kimmel a “talentless, terrible ratings loser” and advising him to continue boasting about his awards, as he might need them to “pawn” after being let go.

White House communications director Stephen Chan took to social media on Friday to respond to Kimmel’s remarks.

Interestingly, Kimmel faced backlash recently for controversial comments about the assassination of conservative figure Charlie Kirk, suggesting that one of the viewers mourning Kirk’s death might have been the perpetrator. His comments were met with outrage, prompting ABC, Disney, and Nexstar to remove him from their networks, citing the offensive nature of his remarks.

However, after facing pressure from boycotts and backlash, it was announced that Jimmy Kimmel Live! would return to the airwaves. Upon his return, Kimmel expressed that he “never intended to make light” of Kirk’s murder and emphasized that he has conservative “friends and family,” stating that he doesn’t believe the killer represents any group.

Jack Posobiec, a close friend of Kirk, reacted to Kimmel’s thoughts, highlighting a puzzling lack of clarity regarding the motivation behind the violence, which seemed evident in the situation.

In a surprising turn, Kimmel also claimed he had received threats, positioning himself as a victim. Posobiec remarked on Kimmel’s tendency to portray himself as a victim of circumstances.

Turning Point USA’s executive producer, Andrew Corbett, expressed that Kimmel’s explanation was insufficient and suggested a more straightforward apology.

Recently, ABC has reportedly imposed major budget cuts on Kimmel, instructing him to reduce the number of musical performances from one per episode to just two a week, a cut of about 60%.
