Measles Exposure Identified at Phoenix Airport
Health officials have flagged Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport as a site where recent measles exposure may have occurred.
The Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) reported that a measles patient was at Terminal 4 on January 29.
In Maricopa County, there have been three confirmed cases of measles, with one additional exposure site identified at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa.
MCDPH is collaborating with federal, state, and airport authorities to inform travelers who could be at risk.
Governor Katie Hobbs expressed significant concern over the increasing number of cases statewide, urging everyone to get vaccinated if they haven’t done so already.
Monday’s announcement followed a case reported at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in late January.
