Brutal Stabbing Incident in Washington State
A man has been accused of fatally stabbing four individuals in a wealthy waterfront community in Washington state, and court records indicate he had a troubling history of abuse and mental health issues, including claims of involvement in “witchcraft” and “occult practices.”
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office reported that the 32-year-old suspect was first observed on Tuesday morning in violation of a no-contact order. Authorities later learned he was attacking someone outside the residence near Gig Harbor.
Upon arrival, police shot and killed the suspect, who has not been publicly identified yet.
Authorities discovered that three victims were already deceased at the scene, while a fourth succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital. The identity of the final victim has yet to be disclosed.
On Tuesday evening, observers noted a body covered with a white sheet lying on the street outside the suspect’s home in a picturesque area just 45 miles south of Seattle. Police had cordoned off the area.
Initially, reports of the no-contact order violation came in that morning. However, as officers learned that the order hadn’t been enforced yet, they planned to deliver a copy to the residence, which had a disturbing history of incidents reported over recent years.
A woman residing at the Gig Harbor address had sought protective orders against her son since December 2020, as indicated by reports from a local news outlet.
She had secured a one-year protective order last May, citing numerous incidents of domestic violence along with struggles related to mental health and substance abuse.
According to court documents, the son had previously physically assaulted his mother and made alarming threats, saying that “the grave has already been dug.”
The woman recounted in court filings that he subjected her to mental and emotional abuse, claiming he practiced magic and occult rituals in their home.
Moreover, there were records of him damaging her belongings and even harming her cat.
“I’m an elderly woman with a disability, and he is exploiting my situation and health,” she stated in court.
The son also reportedly threatened his daughter with a knife, based on filings from December 2020 obtained by local media.
In an April petition, the woman mentioned that her son believed himself to be an “Egyptian god.”
The county judge ordered the son to leave their home and stay away from his mother for a year following this petition.
Reports indicate that the son missed court hearings before the restraining order was issued.
The order prohibited him from having any weapons and mandated he keep a distance of 300 feet from his mother, her vehicle, and their shared home. He was also supposed to adhere to a mental health treatment plan.
It remains unclear why the protection order was not enforced. In Washington, individuals with confidentiality orders may request law enforcement or private investigators to serve them.
Meanwhile, the investigation has been taken over by the Pierce County Military Investigation Team.
